Resources
Caring for a loved differently-abled loved one has many challenges. At DAHLIA Living, we work with a number of supportive organizations. In fact, our work would not be possible without the support of these organizations. We limit our list of resources to those we have vetted and trust.
Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) - in conjunction with Department of Social & Health Services (DSHS)
DDA provides funding for DAHLIA Living and is where we accept referrals from potential residents. If you're looking for placement, please check with your caseworker first.
The Arc of Washington
The Arc provides programming for people of all abilities levels to participate in their communities. We are happy to be able to participate with them.
The Seattle Foundation
The Seattle Foundation provides support for all non-profits in the greater Seattle area. They also host an annual online giving campaign, called GiveBiG, which we are fortunate to participate in.
Bridge Ministries
Bridge Ministries supplies refurbished medical devices and supplies and is a great resource to our residents who are tight on funds.
United Way of King County
United Way supports us by having an employee giving fund, in which people in King County can allocate a portion of their paychecks to be donated to us.
AtWork!
AtWork! allows our residents to help support themselves by providing job opportunities and support. Several of our residents enjoy the extra help that AtWork! lends.
