Our Homes

There's No Place Like Home.

Like the personalities that reside within, each of our homes is unique. The sense of family that our staff fosters is evident from the moment you walk in the door. The pictures, trinkets and decor of each resident's room reflect what they love and who they are. Wherever they go, whatever adventures they experience, our residents always have a home waiting for them. Meet our DAHLIA Living family.

Champion House

Our first program opened its doors on April 8th, 1983 in Bellevue. Champion House was designed to be a group home that would serve a target group of adults with disabilities who needed 24/7 support for all aspects of daily living - a totally new concept at the time. Over the years, dozens of residents have enjoyed their own room in this 8-bedroom home, including 3 that have lived in Champion House since we opened the doors more than 40 years ago.

Halcyon

Our 2nd program, Halcyon, opened on March 18th, 1987.  We added eight new residents, many new staff, and new neighbors - some who weren't too sure about a “group home” moving in. We asked them to give us a chance to prove that we would maintain - even enhance - the high standards of their community. Today, Halcyon is a beloved and integral part of its Bel-Red neighborhood.

Visions

On August 6th, 1991, we created Visions. Two of our residents needed more nursing care than we could provide in our other programs.  Our Visions home, in Kirkland, has grown to serve five residents with high medical needs known as an Intensive Tenant Support program. Thirty years ago, when the doors opened, it was one of the first of its kind in Washington State.

Trail House

The newest of our programs, Trail House, opened on September 5th, 2000 as our second Intensive Tenant Support program. Originally, we started this program to serve an urgent need for young adults with severe disabilities who were aging out of foster care. Today, Bellevue's Trail House is home to residents of all ages.
